I’ve never been one for journaling and although I use Facebook I’ve not blogged either. But in early March 2011 I joined a discussion – a series of messages really – started by my daughter on Facebook and found I had a lot of thoughts.
My brother joined in too and the discussion became rather long. So I thought: “A blog is the place for this.”
And here we are!
Why “Bell, Book and Candle”?
This seemed an appropriate title since not only does it refer to an archaic form of excommunication but it also refers to a Bell (in my case Rob Bell, whose very modern excommunication by tweet kind of started this off) a book (Rob’s book, but also the Bible) and a Candle, which symbolises the light I hope to shed on the issues I blog about – even if only for my own benefit!
